5-Star Review of Voodoo Butterfly

5-Star Review of Voodoo Butterfly

All-in-all, I was completely blown away by this debut novel from Camille Faye. It isn't often these days that I find a book that I cannot put down, this, however, was definitely one of those. That being said, I am granting Voodoo Butterfly by Camille Faye a near-perfect 5-star review. An excellent debut novel from an author I know we will see great things from in the future. From cover to cover I believe this novel will appeal to fans across genres and of all ages. In need a a read that's a little different from the norm? I definitely highly recommend this one! Kudos to you Camille Faye!

Christmas in New Orleans

Christmas in New Orleans

My family took a trip to New Orleans during Christmas of 2008. While I was there I fell in love with the culture of this unique city, so much so that I dreamed up my novel Voodoo Butterfly while I was there. I, literally, had a dream about my main character and her NOLA world. Read on and I’ll tell you more about that AFTER I take you through what Christmas in New Orleans looks like.

Almost six years ago, while visiting New Orleans with my family, I dreamed about a woman who had the power to change evil people good. In that dream, I also envisioned a plague of monarch butterflies descending upon Saint Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. Millions of the orange and black winged creatures swirled in the air and covered the entire cathedral. The dream woke me and would not let me fall back asleep, so in the middle of the night I jotted it down in my journal.
